Runoff Election is Tuesday, December 3rd!

Polls will be open 7am-8pm on December 3rd and polling locations will be the same as the general election. If you'd like, you can request an absentee ballot right now! Mark the "Special" box and put "12/3/19 Ames Ward 4 Runoff" on the line. 

Can I vote?

Any US Citizen over the age of 18 can register and vote here in Ames! The rule of thumb is "vote where you sleep." Feel free to contact us with any questions about whether you can vote and how to do so!

Where do I vote?

Are you registered to vote?

Yes

You're all set! Just show up to your polling location to vote. You will be asked to show an ID at the polls before you vote.

 

You can show any of the following:

  • Iowa driver’s license or non-driver ID card

  • Iowa Voter ID Card ( would have come in the mail after you registered to vote if you do not have an Iowa Drivers License)

  • U.S. passport

  • U.S. Military ID or veteran’s ID

  • Tribal ID/document

If you do not have an ID from that list, you can show one of the IDs from the "IDENTITY" election day registration day list. Along with those IDs you will also need to prove residency. See instructions under "RESIDENCY".

RESIDENCY

  • log onto Access Plus and show the poll worker  the “Voter Reg Address tab

  • bring a piece of mail from where you live that includes your Ames address and your name
